Abacus is a calculating instrument with Beads and Rods. It’ an ancient tool used to do arithmetic calculation. Children can learn fast calculation of numbers with fun with the help of Abacus.

Children learning Abacus uses his or her fingers to move the beads on the abacus and this collaborative movement of the fingers and the brain are responsible for creating a photographic memory in the brain of child. During the practice of abacus math calculation, the child uses both his hand on Abacus, this movement spurs activity in both left and right brain, thus initiating the development of cells. Such Abacus helps in nurturing the brain of child making him much quicker and accurate in this process.

The human brain is command centre of all you think, feel, and do. It contains about 100 billion neurons and 100 trillion connections having two sides namely the right brain and the left brain. The left brain is referred to as the Logical Brain or Digital Brain. It understands linear thinking, sequences, Black, White, Geometrical Patterns, Maths Calculations and Logical Thinking. It’s better at things like reading, writing and computations. The right brain controls more of emotions, understands arts, colours, rhythm, intuition, visualization and imagination. This is more of creative side of the brain. An analytical and methodical person is said to be left-brained whereas a more creative or artistic person is normally thought to be right-brained.

Mental Maths is a process where the learner solves the numerical operations in the mind without the help of any accessories like calculator, paper, pen etc. Abacus nurtures the young brains to see the numbers as images of bead positions and use these images to manipulate numerical operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. This operation increases the blood circulation in right brain activating the brain cells resulting in faster solutions. Many refer such process as Mental Math and Abacus learning ensures competence in the Mental Math Skill.

Vedic Maths is a collection of amazing Mathematical Techniques (Sutras) from Ancient India, which help us to perform easier, faster and accurate calculations. It consists of 16 Sutras (Formulae) and 13 sub-sutras (Sub Formulae) which can be used for solving problems involved in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, conics.

Solving problems through regular mathematical steps can be complex and time consuming, but using Vedic Mathematics General Techniques and Specific Techniques, numerical calculation can be done very fast. It enables performing calculations 10 times faster than the conventional method.
